ClancyWorks is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Artists to teach multiple dance styles to K-12 students and senior citizens.
ClancyWorks is an independent nonprofit that provides services in Montgomery County, MD. We are currently looking for experienced dance teachers to join our organization.
Desired dance styles include: Hip Hop, Modern, Jazz, Salsa
We are seeking Teaching Artists for:
In-school residencies
Afterschool programming
Creative movement workshops for seniors.
Part-time options are available (from 2 hours – 20 hours per week).
Required Qualifications (for all above positions)
College/University Degree in Dance or equivalent experience
5-7 years of teaching experience
Passion for working with kids and/or seniors
Ability to teach multiple styles of dance
Experience with writing class plans
Ability to adapt lesson plans to the interests and abilities of students
Willingness to undergo a background check
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
High level of organization
Reliable transportation
All Teaching Artists must commit to working with us for at least one full semester
Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, and video/audio programs a plus
Experience with social media marketing a plus
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
